Regulations concerning ice breaking barges and beer brewers

Price

€ 375,00

An important broadside with regulations and guidelines concerning icebreaking barges and beer brewers in and around Amsterdam. During the cold winters of the Little Ice Age, ice breaking barges were of key importance to beer brewers; without them, brewers were unable to obtain fresh water.

This copy comes from the Amsterdam collection of Willem Dreesmann (1885-1954) and bears his blindstamp (“Collectie Dreesman”) on the card.
