A lovely edition of this extremely successful grimoire.
Perhaps the most intriguing part of the book is an illustrated description of a so-called 'Hand of Glory', a magical artefact that was used to render motionless all persons to whom it was presented.
Pages 110 and 111 include a step-by-step guide to prepare a Hand of Glory: take the hand of a felon who died on the gallows, let it dry in the sun, then make a candle of the malefactors fat, and finally attach the candle to the hand. A Hand of Glory is also featured in the 2002 film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
