The sought-after true first edition of Karen Blixen’s masterpiece, published in november 1937, in the original dust-jacket.
This British edition precedes both the Danish and the American edition, which appeared under the pseudonym of Isak Dinesen. Out of Africa chronicles Blixen's life on a coffee plantation in Kenya. The book was made into an Oscar-winning film starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.

[2], ix, 416, [3] pp. Publisher’s cloth with gilt lettering on the spine, with the original unclipped pictorial dust-jacket.
Some rubbing to the cloth at the corners, the back board with a few stains, light foxing to several pages (mainly the endpapers) and front edges and with a previous owner's name on the first flyleaf, dated 1938. Dust-jacket lightly discoloured and with minor wear to the extremities and small tears, but with little loss and unrestored. Overall a very good copy.
